GeSoMa is a voluntary network of cooperating companies – composed of manufacturers, system and components suppliers of Special Machines. Special Machines define machines and installations, which are manufactured customer specific according to the functional requirements, product specification or offer. Typical examples for these machines are: automatic assembly machines, hybrid assembly systems and assembly transfer systems.
The intention of GeSoMa is not scrapping decommissioned Special Machines but transferring in a new machine life. Therefore functional units and components are withdrawn, recycled and offered for new Special Machines or partial operational components on the market.
The network GeSoMa is a section of the Fachverband des Maschinen- und Werkzeug-Großhandels e.V. (FDM).

GeSoMa defines a result of the project “Growth promoted services for sustained utilization of high quality Special machines” – by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
